Girls play various roles in their life like a daughter, sister, mother and most importantly wife. We can see this gender is taking the world by storm whatever field it may be from politics to sports, from entertainment to finance. They are everywhere. Gone are the days when society believed that they are meant for only cooking and carrying forward the generation next to come. She was not having any identity. But the time changed and she made a mark for herself in every field she stepped in. She not just only cook the food but also work for her in-dependency. She does not want to be dependent on any other person for her life. She is self-made. At one end , sky is not the limit for them but on the other end there are many who are still in the clutches of this cruel society.
It feels very sad that devil like dowry still prevails in the society. In our so called “modern era”, there are people who take life of their daughter in law just because she did not bring enough money from her “maika”. Money is important but not as valuable as a person’s life.
Few days back, a suicide case came to us from other state. Was it actually suicide? was it murder, which was made to appear like suicide.
A lady who was married for 8 years, having a daughter of 5 years, found dead . Her only mistake she was going through all the tortures without uttering a word. She was tight lipped about all the suffering and pain she was bearing. In order to depict that it is a suicide, in written suicide note using her name, stating that her parents should not consider her in laws, guilty for this cause as no one provoked her. She is committing suicide because of her personal issues. When her father got this letter, he was shocked as he knew his daughter is not so weak that she took such a drastic step of ending her life. He knew that someone is trying to misguide the authority . Her father came to us and her previous handwritings. When we studied the handwriting on the suicide note and her books, we were stunned.
The person who tried to copy her handwriting tried his/her best but it was of no use. Wo kehte hai na “chor kahi na kahi galti kar hi deta hai”. And that galti we caught ,not one but many. when we came to know she was an educated lady. And bang on, we got the most crucial point for the case as if she was literate person then she can’t use the language of an illiterate. It made everything crystal clear.
